We are looking for a Help Desk Technician that can work the primary hours of 2:00 – 10:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with occasional rotating hours ranging between 5:00 AM and 11:00 PM. In this role you will be responsible for help desk, operational, administrative and documentation support for company systems. Not only will you answer, resolve and document user issues but you will be responsible for handling system back-ups, system monitoring, report distribution and job management.

Responsibilities will include and range from:

• Answering, logging and providing 1^st level support to users as well as status updates and reports.
• Resolving issues pertaining to PC setup, configuration and/or account setup.
• Performing set-up and rebuilds for PC equipment and mobile devices along with maintenance and repair of printers, copiers and fax machines.
• Coordinating calls with vendors and ensuring quality service levels are achieved.
• Monitoring daily, monthly and annual processing procedures
• Running the system backup process, including managing off-site storage, tape management, and inventory
• Preparing various reports related to Help Desk, including Sarbanes-Oxley reporting

Qualified candidates need to possess the following qualifications and skills:

• A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 2-3 years of experience with Wintel and iSeries, including Robot a plus.
• Strong demonstrated knowledge of Windows Desktop, MS Office, email and Internet.
• User-based familiarity with Novell NetWare and Microsoft networks and Windows-based communications programs (eg. Cisco VPN client, Windows Remote Desktop, Windows Dial-Up Networking.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to express technical concepts to non-technical users.
• Able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexible with hours and schedule.
